Varsha Bhatia is a watercolour artist specialising in detailed architectural paintings. She was elected a member of the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours (RI) in 2018 and has gained national recognition for her beautiful depictions of London landmarks and buildings.

Having graduated from the Sir J.J.College of Architecture, Bombay in 1978, she moved to England in 1982. Here she continued her work in architecture whilst developing her love of painting. This has led to exhibitions in the UK and overseas. Varsha often incorporates her unique style of paper cutting, within her work. This creates a three- dimensional effect. Utilizing her architectural background she draws ideas for her artwork, focusing on Indian as well as Western Architectural monuments, studying their details, styles and atmosphere.

She has won many awards and exhibited in London with major art societies, including the RI, RWS,RBA and SWA. Her work has been selected for the Sunday Times Watercolour Competition for fourteen years.
