Jack Haggle is a Hertfordshire born artist. His work is conceived from a love of the countryside and the admiration of the artists who capture it.
Working mostly in acrylic, Jack’s paintings start life as small sketches made in situ. These studies are often completed in pencil, coloured crayon or ink. He will often also take his own reference snapshots, for later use. The finished pieces are then worked up in his studio, at home.
Jack was formally tutored to senior school level. He has since developed his knowledge and skills through the close observation of his subject matter and both classical and contemporary artists of the landscape genre.
