Susan’s prints capture wildlife in brooding skies, with her work reflecting a mood or a moment using drama and detail. Each mezzotint begins life on a fully grounded, toothed copper plate. The image is created by burnishing and scraping the surface to form tone and shape . Each print is hand printed on an etching press using Somerset Velvet paper and Charbonnel ink.
